Notes

These questions were developed by New Visions as part of its high school math curriculum (Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II). In Problem-Attic, we’ve keep them organized by unit and by the New Visions themes, such as “Contemplate then Calculate“.

Background: founded in New York City in 1989 as New Visions for Public Schools, the organization’s goal is “to create quality educational options for students in under-resourced neighborhoods.” Beginning in 2013, New Visions began developing a scope and sequence for high school mathematics, with accompanying teacher resources. All resources were aligned to New York State Common Core Learning Standards and Regents Examinations. In 2023, New Visions stopped updating its materials and began recommending that schools adopt the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum.
